Forbes Australia 30 Under 30 List logo

Nominations for Forbes Australia’s 30 Under 30 list are now open for 2025.

The list celebrates the brightest young innovators, leaders and entrepreneurs making waves in business and society. See who made the class of 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

This prestigious list honours individuals under 30 who have made exceptional contributions to, and demonstrated remarkable potential in, their respective fields.

  • Age: Nominees must have been 29 years or younger on December 31, 2024.
  • Impact: Nominees must have demonstrated significant impact in their industry through innovation, leadership, or entrepreneurial success.
  • Potential: Nominees must show strong potential for future success and influence within their field.
  • Achievements: Nominees must have a proven track record of accomplishments such as funding, revenue generation, social impact, or creative breakthroughs.
Factors to consider when nominating
  • Multiple nominations do not equate to a better chance of making the list. In fact, it can sometimes be seen as a red flag.
  • Whether you are self-nominated or nominated by a peer does not matter – a well-written application that tightly explores your achievements does.
  • If you aren’t sure which category to nominate under, don’t panic. Our team will assess internally which category best fits your application.
  • All nominations are background and fact-checked.
  • No one finds out they have made the list until the day of publication.
Methodology

The Forbes 30 Under 30 selection process is rigorous. It begins with soliciting online nominations, where the public is encouraged to self-nominate or nominate a peer.

The Forbes editorial team will then assess all online nominations to find candidates, and background/fact-check each nominee. The team will also reach out to industry experts and list alumni, and keep tabs on current affairs to source further candidates.

Candidates are evaluated by Forbes staff and a panel of independent, expert judges (for the inaugural edition, Forbes tapped Airtree’s Craig Blair, Immutable co-founders Robbie and James Ferguson and former Collingwood President Jeff Browne) on a variety of factors, including funding, revenue, social impact, scale, inventiveness and potential.

If you are – or you know someone – creating the next Afterpay or Canva – nominate them now.
