Adani Ports has agreed to buy Amsterdam-based liquid storage operator Evos from Igneo Infrastructure Partners in an all-cash deal valuing the business at €2.6 billion.

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (APSEZ)—controlled by ports-to-energy billionaire Gautam Adani—has agreed to buy Amsterdam-based liquid storage operator, Evos BV, at an enterprise value of €2.6 billion ($2.9 billion).
The Mumbai-listed company will acquire Evos from London-based Igneo Infrastructure Partners through an all-cash deal that will be funded through debt and that would give Adani Ports a sizeable foothold in Europe, it said in a filing late Thursday. The transaction was underwritten by Japan’s MUFG, which is providing financing commitments of up to €2.8 billion, it added.
The acquisition “marks an important milestone in APSEZ’s trajectory towards handling 1 billion tons of cargo and building a truly global, integrated transport platform,” Karan Adani, managing director of Adani Ports, said in the statement.
One of Europe’s largest liquid storage operators, Evos has 6.3 million cubic metres of storage capacity across eight terminals in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Malta. Its facilities serve major energy and industrial hubs, with 452 tanks and 63 berths for vessels and barges. The terminals are also connected to key infrastructure through pipelines, including Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands and the Central Europe Pipeline System.
Evos handled 37 million metric tons of liquids in 2025, ranging from conventional fuels such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel as well as cleaner alternatives such as sustainable aviation fuel, biofuels, methanol and bioethanol. “We look forward to partnering with Europe, supporting its sustainable energy transition and creating enduring value while maintaining financial prudence that underpins our growth,” Adani said.
Upon completion of the deal, which is subject to regulatory approvals, Adani Ports said its global footprint will expand to 28 ports and terminals across 10 countries. The company currently operates 16 facilities across India. Its diversified marine fleet comprises 138 vessels, while its ports have a combined cargo-handling capacity of 671 million tonnes, equivalent to about 27% of India’s total port volumes. APSEZ also has presence in Australia, Israel, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.
With a real-time net worth of $82.9 billion based on Forbes’ data, Gautam Adani is the chairman of Ahmedabad-based Adani Group with interests in ports, airports, power generation and transmission, green energy, edible oils, cement and real estate, among others.
