Forbes Australia Announces Key Editorial Hires

Sydney, AUSTRALIA (May 2, 2022) – Forbes Australia today announced several key editorial appointments in the run up to its highly anticipated launch in Q3 this year.

Stewart Hawkins has been named Managing Editor and will play a key role in leading the magazine and editorial processes.

Hawkins spent seven years with Bloomberg across TV production and data journalism. Prior to Bloomberg, he spent more than a decade with the Australian Financial Review in roles including editor of the AFR magazine, launch editor of the AFR tablet edition and editor of the masthead’s lifestyle and luxury magazines. He is currently editor of Investment Magazine.

On his appointment, Hawkins said: “I am thrilled to be a part of the launch of Forbes Australia at such an exciting time, not only as the world navigates a new investment paradigm but also as new opportunities begin to open again for business, leisure and experiences”.

Elise Shaw has been named Digital Editor and will be charged with leading the digital editorial offering. Most recently a content strategist with CMC Markets, Shaw has print, digital and social media experience at Bloomberg, The Australian, the AFR and the Financial Times (UK).

Huw Reynolds has been appointed Creative Director and will lead the design and creative strategy across print and digital. Reynolds has designed and curated some of the most prestigious magazine brands in publishing houses such as Conde Nast, News Media, Hearst, and Bauer Media. He designed and directed Harper’s BAZAAR in both London and Sydney.

The recruitment process for further key editorial, creative and commercial roles is ongoing, with Forbes Australia set to launch in Q3 of 2022.
