In 2020, Maserati revealed the MC20, a halo car for the brand and its first all-new supercar in 15 years.

A 2025 MC20 Coupé and Cielo is equipped with an eye-popping twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 rated for 621 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque.

The automaker dubbed the engine “Nettuno” for Neptune, the Roman god of the sea and the one who carries the Trident in the brand’s logo.

What You Need To Know About The Maserati MCPURA

Built at the Maserati plant on Viale Ciro Menotti in Modena, the MCPURA will be assembled in good company with the Nettuno engine, the GT2 Stradale, GranTurismo, and GranCabrio. Yes, it’s 100 percent made in Italy, and in photos it exudes Italian style.

Inspired by Maserati’s GT2 Stradale, the rear bumper looks familiar, yet fresh. Same goes for the front end, with the famous shark nose showing off a streamlined shape that cuts a new profile.

The butterfly doors show off the exterior lines and a reveal of the Alcantara- and carbon fiber-clad interior as they open. Its wide opening allows the driver and passenger to enter and exit the supercar with grace as it accentuates its good looks.

You’ll find the start button on the Alcantara-covered flat-top steering wheel, a Maserati standard.

Colourful Maserati MCPURA Finishes

In all of the photos in this story, the MCPURA is featured in the AI Aqua Rainbow body colour, a silky blue-green luminescent colour reminiscent of the sea. At launch, the closed-top body style will feature a matte version of this colour, while the convertible finish will be glossy. Details like the badging and trim are in gloss on the coupé version and matte on the convertible to contrast with the body coating.

The standard 10-colour palette for the Maserati MCPURA includes the brand-new shade Devil Orange, which was last seen in 2022 on the F-Tributo special series. Created as a homage to of Maria Teresa De Filippis, the first woman to have qualified for a Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Devil Orange refers to the nickname De Filippis earned in her Maserati 250F: “She-devil.”

Of course, you can choose from the same colours available for the MC20: Grigio Incognito, Grigio Mistero, Nero Essenza, Bianco Audace, Blu Infinito, Rosso Vincente, Giallo Genio, Verde Royale, and Night Interaction. Not enough colour choices for you? Go straight to Maserati’s Fuoriserie Program for customisation and 30 more hues.
