The package, which is available now until 30 November 2023, includes one night at The Tasman in a premium suite and three nights in a one-bedroom lodge at Kittawa Lodge.

The Tasman, which is located in Parliament Square overlooking Hobart’s waterfront, offers 152 unique rooms and suites – no stay is ever the same, the hotel claims. The package offers guests the choice of two suites: St. David’s Park Suite, which features an 1840s ceiling and fireplace for a ”heritage-inspired” stay, or The Aurora Suite, which features views of the River Derwent.

The package also includes a $300 dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Peppina, cooked by renowned Tasmanian chef, Massimo Mele.

The next day, they’ll be transported via a private transfer to Launceston for a lunch at Stillwater Restaurant, before flying to King Island for their three-night stay at Kittawa Lodge. The stay at the Lodge is all-inclusive of lunches, dinners and breakfast.

General Manager of The Tasman, Stephen Morahan, says the hotel shares “many synergies” with Kittawa Lodge, adding that the itinerary is an opportunity for guests to “explore the epicurean highlights of the city and wild surrounds of the island beyond”.

Kittawa Lodge owner, Aaron Suine, says the package gives guests the best of both worlds: “King Island is so wild and remote you really feel like you are the only person at Kittawa Lodge. We encourage guests to switch off, relax and unwind, enjoying a truly memorable experience that has been carefully considered and curated,” he says.

Bookings are by enquiry only, and prices for the package start at $9,900 for two adults.
