Who was the best dressed at the Golden Globes 2026? Fashion commentator Hanan Besovic weighs in.

This weekend saw the glitzy 83rd Golden Globe Awards, first held in 1944, it was established by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to honour film and later television, making it one of the oldest, and most glamorous awards still running.
Hosted at The Beverly Hilton hotel by comedian Nikki Glaser for the second year in a row, the star-studded night delivered big winners and even bigger dresses. One Battle After Another led the awards, picking up four wins including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress. The British series Adolescence also had a major night, taking home four awards across the television categories, including Best Limited Series and multiple acting wins; it was topped off by one of the evening’s most memorable speeches from Owen Cooper, who made history becoming the youngest ever winner of the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television award.
There was much chatter about the hotly tipped film Hamnet, which debuted at the Telluride Film Festival last summer and didn’t disappoint, with Jessie Buckley winning Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama alongside Paul Mescal. It was also among the night’s silver screen standouts at the Golden Globes.
While the awards celebrate the performances, let’s be honest, the fashion takes centre stage too. Cue Croatia-born, US-based Hanan Besovic, fashion commentator and content creator best known as the name behind I Deserve Couture. Launched during the pandemic, he’s since built an online community of loyal, style-led followers – all 574,000 of them – tuning into his Instagram for his on-the-pulse fashion critiques and red-carpet reviews. That influence hasn’t gone unnoticed by the industry either, with Business of Fashion listing him in its prestigious BoF 500 index.
Who better, then, to weigh in on the night’s looks, from archival pieces and runway looks to custom gowns and vintage jewels, as he shares his stylish selects for the best dressed men and women of the Golden Globes 2026.
Teyana Taylor

Teyana is a person that obviously can’t miss when it comes to the red carpet. Everything that she wears feels organic, and this custom Schiaparelli look is black form-fitting and is one hundred per cent her. The dress was teamed with archival Tiffany & Co. earrings, along with a Tiffany & Co. bracelet and rings. The look is classy, sexy, and fitted her like a glove. This was one of the wow moments of the night.
Kylie Jenner

Kylie wore custom ASHI studio. I think that is important to give credit here because she looks spectacular, and in my opinion, it’s actually one of her best looks ever. The dress is hand embroidered and features an antique metallic sequence, and it took over 300 hours of craftsmanship and research. On top of that, all the jewellery compliments the dress extremely well, including her statement Lorraine Schwartz earrings.
Amelia Gray

Amelia in custom Swarovski for me, was a huge surprise. We rarely get to see the jewellery brands experiment with fashion, but Giovanna, the creative director of Swarovski seems to be swimming like a fish in the sea when it comes to designing also. The main motif of the dress is the feather, which Swarovski is really trying to push. During the Met Gala last year there was a huge focus on feathers across the four looks they presented. The feather speaks to the core of the brand, as their logo is a swan. And Amelia looked so elegant.
Ariana Grande

Wearing a custom black Vivienne Westwood off-the-shoulder gown with a fitted bodice, Ariana was a huge surprise, and for all the right reasons. Her stylist Law Roach has been delivering winning look after winning look, and I think that he saved the best for last. For me, it was the fabric, and the way that it complements her. Sometimes with the voluminous dresses, there is an issue of getting swallowed up in them, but Law thought of that, and this is one of those situations where the dress is not wearing her, but she is wearing the dress.
Kate Hudson

For the evening Kate Hudson decided to step out in a vintage silver Swarovski rhinestone encrusted halter-neck dress by Giorgio Armani Privé with Garatti jewellery. For me, that’s one of the better Armani Privé dresses that I’ve seen lately on the red carpet. The play on the cut, the colour choice, and the embellishments, which are so subtle yet so strong, are the focus of the whole dress. This is why you always go with Armani Privé for the red carpet, because Armani Privé equals perfection.
Hudson Williams

Hudson donned an all-white Giorgio Armani look. I was waiting to see what he was going to wear for this big night and he did not disappoint. The whole look felt like it was made for him, especially with the emphasis on the beautiful Bvlgari necklace. I know it’s usual to wear a tie, but he’s sexy and he’s showing it off, and I’m gay and I don’t have a problem with that.
Colman Domingo

Colman wore custom Valentino for the night. The red carpet is his playground, and he always wins because he understands event dressing and the dress codes better than 98 per cent of male celebrities. He brings a classic approach, but there is always a spin on it, and he topped it off with amazing jewellery, as you can see here, which is from Boucheron.
Jacob Elordi

Jacob in Bottega Veneta was another treat for the eyes. It’s classic and it fits him like a glove. If you’re really into classic suits, you will definitely love this look, but sometimes we need to be reminded of the elegance that comes with the red carpet, and I think that Jacob Elordi is representing that perfectly.
Duke McCloud

Six-year-old Duke McCloud from All Her Fault was actually the star of the whole red carpet for me. I’m not sure who he is wearing, but I want to know. This colour on Duke is the most perfect choice for a kid his age. It is young, but it’s mature, it’s serious, yet it’s extremely playful. He looks like a future movie star, and this is the best possible introduction to the red carpet.
Amal & George Clooney

I wouldn’t want to dwell on his suit, as it’s nothing to write home about, but I think the best thing about George is his wife, Amal Clooney, who arrived in vintage Balmain from 1957. I’m not sure how she managed to get her hands on that gem, but it looks stunning on her.
