In the luxurious halls of Geneva’s Watches and Wonders 2024, all eyes were again on the Rolex stall as the curtains raised and it unveiled its latest horological lineup. And after a few colourful surprises in its 2023 reveal, the Swiss titan of timekeeping has opted for a more subtle sophistication this year.
The Watches and Wonders salon, which runs until April 15, will see 54 major watch brands show off their latest creations, including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier, Chopard, Hermes and Chanel. Image: Getty

Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II
Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II, 40 mm, Oystersteel

The Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II remains a staple for the globetrotter, now introduced in Oystersteel with a Cerachrom bezel in grey and black.

Available with both Oyster and Jubilee bracelets, this year’s model emphasises discretion and functionality which include the green 24-hour hand and GMT-Master II.

Day-Date
Oyster Perpetual Day-Date, 40 mm, Everose gold

The Day-Date collection (a particular favourite of mine) has received a subtle update. The Day-Date 40 in Everose gold includes a new slate ombré dial. In contrast, the white gold model dazzles with a white mother-of-pearl dial, set alight by the dance of iridescent reflections and baguette-cut diamond hour markers.

The Day-Date 36 editions, in both yellow and Everose gold, introduce fresh dial colours and are crowned with trapeze-cut diamonds.

The Rolex Deepsea charts new territory in 18 ct yellow gold, a first for the brand’s deep-sea divers’ watch. This version is a fusion of materials, with blue ceramic and RLX titanium.
