To mark the 10th anniversary of its Astronomia collection, Jacob & Co. introduces its most technically ambitious creation yet: the Astronomia Revolution Four-Axis Tourbillon.

As the name states, this new timepiece adds a fourth axis to the collection’s signature tourbillon architecture, once again pushing boundaries in the realm of high horology watchmaking.

The standout feature is the high-speed, four-axis tourbillon mounted at the top of a rotating carousel. The cage spins along four independent axes at 60 seconds, 18 seconds, 15 seconds, and 60 seconds respectively, creating a stunning visual effect of synchronized motion. Unlike more simplified tourbillons, this one is part of a system that completes a full revolution in just 60 seconds. A high-frequency constant force mechanism governs the rotation, delivering consistent energy for precise timekeeping and mechanical fluidity.

The watch is encased in 47mm of 18K rose gold and sapphire crystal. The back of the watch has a gold-plated mirror-polished backplate, arranged in an angled mosaic that reflects light at every angle. The pattern does not follow conventional gem-setting layouts, opting instead for an inverted style.

From the original Astronomia Tourbillon in 2015 to the faster, more complex versions that followed, Jacob & Co. has built a reputation for kinetic designs that push the boundaries for what’s possible in watchmaking. This new iteration is a great example of what keeps the industry competitive and creative. The tourbillon system on this watch not only accelerates motion across multiple axes but also maintains stability and precision, no small feat considering the rapid rotations and layered complexity.

Limited in number and clearly designed for collectors who are drawn to the theatrical end of watchmaking, the Astronomia Revolution Four-Axis Tourbillon is designed to impress with a display of impressive engineering, design flair, and raw invention on your wrist.
