Hayden Panettiere, a child actress who led a successful career as an adult in film and television with such shows as Heroes, Nashville and two Scream films, has died.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden,” Panettiere’s representative’s told ABC News 7 in Los Angeles in a statement. “She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen.”
Hayden Panettiere’s death follows the release of her memoir This Is Me: A Reckoning, in May, in which she details personal struggles, including postpartum depression, addiction and recovery, trauma and domestic abuse, as well as the loss of her brother, James Panettiere, at age 28 in 2023.
Hayden Panettiere was 36. Her cause of death was not released.
