100 days out: Omega begins countdown to Paris 2024 Olympics in style

Watches

Watches and Wonders might be over for another year but that hasn’t stopped Omega, the official timekeeper for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, going for an early gold to mark the 100-day countdown.

With just 100 days until the Paris 2024 Olympics, Omega isn’t just watching the clock—they’re resetting it. As the games’ Official Timekeeper, a role they’ve relished since 1932, Omega is marking the countdown with an elegant nod to precision and sport: the new Speedmaster Chronoscope collection.

In classic Olympic gold, black, and white, The collection showcases four models, each making a statement that’s as much about heritage as it is about aesthetics. For the purists, there’s the full stainless steel model with its sleek, anodized aluminum bezel—a nod to the classic. But for those with a taste for something richer, the standout is certainly the ceramic bezel paired with an 18K Moonshine™ Gold case and bracelet.

This isn’t just any gold; it’s Omega’s own blend, known for a luster that outlasts fleeting fashion trends.

Each model boasts a silvery white opaline dial adorned with three dark grey timing scales in a vintage 1940s “snail” design, including a tachymeter, pulsometer, and telemeter scale. This design not only pays homage to Omega’s longstanding precision in timekeeping since its first Olympic role in 1932 but also enhances functionality, offering a range of measurements directly from the wrist.

Further distinguishing these watches are the blackened subdials and Arabic numerals in 18K Moonshine™ Gold, complemented by leaf-shaped hands.

Flip it over and the reverse side of the watch features a commemorative caseback with a polished Paris 2024 logo and the Olympic Rings, a subtle yet impactful nod to the Games.

Then there’s the heart of the watch: the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9908 / 9909, certified by METAS for unmatched precision.

The hardest decision you’ll face is whether you opt for the stainless steel on a black calfskin strap or go for (literal) gold with the Moonshine
