Swift, 32, released her first album at age 16. It’s her only work that did not go No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She first announced Midnights in August while accepting an award at the MTV VMAs. It’s her sixth album released since 2019, including four new works and two re-releases of her masters. Swift, who is re-recording her first six albums after they were sold by Big Machine Records, has yet to release new versions of 1989, Reputation, Speak Now and Taylor Swift. It’s widely rumored Swift is going to embark on a stadium tour to promote Midnights and her more recent works. She hasn’t toured since releasing Reputation in 2017.
